From the narrow staircase that leads to the bell tower, it is also possible to branch off in another direction, and head into the attic above the sanctuary, where all the structural beams are exposed. This attic is not as interesting as it may seem ~ there are no treasures stored here, though there is one good reason to come here ~ this is where the maintenance crew must come to replace light bulbs in the sanctuary.

Perhaps a more interesting space is the attic above Goforth Hall at the back of the sanctuary. It is from here where the stained glass west windows are illuminated from behind with massive floodlights

Goforth Hall has a large skylight ceiling ~ shown below is the space between the ceiling and the skylight on the roof...
