Loving the City, Serving the World this October

After a month of welcome events to get a taste our community, October is a great month to step into opportunities to explore how we live out our vision together—loving the city and serving the world. Whether you’ve been following Jesus a long time, or you’re carrying some curiosity, we hope you’ll find a way to join in.

Supporting our partners, supporting refugees

Walk with Refugees  in Support of Adam House

SAT / OCT 3 / 10:00a

Join the Knox Team as we support Adam House—support for refugees in the city—by walking, fundraising or making a donation! The full walk is 8.3 km, but there are 2 other spots on route where you can join the crew. We end our time at Adam House for a lunch celebration. All ages are welcome. Sign up, give, or donate today.

Welcoming the world on our door step

Host an International Student this Thanksgiving with Friends for Dinner

Through the years our church has offered a variety of ways to welcome internationals at special times of year — our church is renowned for our welcome!. This Thanksgiving, we’re inviting the Knox Community to share our gifts of hospitality and join Friends for Dinner. It’s a city-wide ministry, pairing Canadian Christian hosts with international students for holiday meals. International guests will not necessarily be from Knox, or connected to a church at all, (yet!). Sign up soon to help our organizers! Share with any internationals you meet, too.

Work & Faith

Live Called

Saturday, October 24

Once again the Missions Hub is organizing this 1-day gathering for recent grads and working professionals to connect and consider how our work, gifts, and passions fit into God’s bigger story. Through plenary talks and vocation break out sessions participants will unpack what it means to be intentionally formed by Jesus through discipleship, and then form the world around us through stewardship, with grace and truth.

Local & Global Mission

Missions Sunday

Sunday, October 25 at 11am Worship

Celebrating God’s invitation to join his mission of saving love to everyone, everywhere is at the heart of our Mission Sundays. Our worship service will welcome guest preacher Kristen Deede Johnson, Principal of Wycliffe College. Many Knox-Supported Workers will be visiting and all are welcome to meet with them after worship to learn more about their ministries over coffee, tea, and refreshments. Mark your calendar and plan to worship with us!
