Loving the City through our Facilities
One of the great resources God has given us to care for and share is our building. In the last number of years, our leaders have explored how we can best steward our building and bless the community around by renting our building out to others.
Below are some highlights from our building use through the 2025-26 ministry year.
Ministry & Community Partner Events
NEW RENTALS
12-step recovery group for those overcoming addiction — meeting weekly since last summer
Kingdom Come (UofT), a Christian campus group — resumed weekly gatherings this fall after taking a break since the pandemic
Yonge Street Mission leadership meetings - twice this year
This Campus is Christ's — a campus group worship gathering met this spring and hopes to come back once a semester
CONTINUING
IMAGO partners including a play about the life of Henri Nouwen and 2 Trinity Bach Project concerts
Messiah for the City, a Christmas concert for clients of the United Way
Student recitals for RCM/Glenn Gould partnership in October, December, and May
ENDING
The Abundant Life Evangelical Missionary Church congregation folded after 16 years of using our chapel for Sunday services. We’re grateful to hear many of their congregants are attending churches closer to their homes, and at least one family continues to connect on Sundays and through Knox Camps.
