Acts of the Spirit
Beginning May 31, we’re beginning our summer series in the book of Acts. The book of Acts tells the story of the first movements of Christians, led by the Apostles, as they share the good news of Jesus with their neighbours and wrestle with what the new thing God is doing in the world means as they live it out together.
While this book is commonly called the “Acts of the Apostles,” a closer look reveals that it is the Holy Spirit who is the true driving force. The Spirit fans the embers of the church into flame, softens hardened hearts to receive the gospel, and works many signs and wonders. Without the Spirit, the church’s work would have no life, no power, and no hope. With the Spirit, we see how our lives are a continuation of these same acts of God’s goodness and grace for this city we love and for the world we serve.
Join us Sundays at 11am this summer as we explore the movement of the Holy Spirit through worship and the word.
