Sun Oct 19 Road Closures
It’s the Toronto Waterfront Marathon weekend. Read on for information about road closures and how to get to Knox.
What roads are closed?
A section of roads (in a square) will be closed around Knox Church (please see the map attached).
From 7:00am - 11:00am, parts of Bathurst, Bloor and Yonge will be closed.
Visit the Facebook post for a more detailed breakdown of road closures, and times.
How can I get to Knox?
Transit — if you’re able, TTC is a good option this Sunday.
Driving — we suggest the following approaches:
Coming from the East:
Spadina Ave is open.
Access Spadina from the Gardiner Expressway or from Dundas East (east of Yonge).
Coming from the West:
Access Spadina Ave from the Gardiner Expressway. NB - Bathurst is closed from Bloor to Lakeshore.
(once you're in the neighbourhood, parking should not be impacted)
Biking — There is no guarantee that you can get through the road closures.
Finding your way to Dundas East (east of Yonge) is the clearest option to arrive on time. If coming from the west, you’ll need to ride roads north of Bloor (Dupont, Davenport, etc). TTC may be easier this week. (Or arriving late, as the main roads open at 11am).
Yes, that’s right. We just said you are blessed to be late for church today.
Hope to see you this Sunday! (and plan to stay for soup!!)
